Bulk Manage Dates

Bulk Manage Dates

Use the Manage Dates tool to view, bulk edit, and bulk offset the date availability of your Content, Assignments, Quizzes, etc.

It is possible to sort by any of the column headings, including the Type column to sort based on the tool-specific order or use the advanced filter options to work with smaller sets of objects. This allows updating multiple availability dates based on specific criteria.

To do so, follow the steps:

1.   Go to Course Admin and click on Manage Dates.

2.   Select the check box of the items for which you want to Bulk Edit Dates or Bulk Offset Dates. Find the difference below by clicking the +.

The Manage Dates tool enables you to bulk edit due dates and availability dates of your course content.

In the Bulk Edit Dates dialog box, update the due dates and availability dates. When you are done, click Save.

The Manage Dates tool enables you to move start dates and end dates forward or backward by a specified number of days. You can use this to move course content forward to a new term.

In the Bulk Offset Dates dialog box, enter your offset details. When you are done, click Save.

In addition to managing dates, you can open each course object in a new window by clicking on its name. This launches the object’s edit page where you can edit additional properties for that object without leaving the Manage Dates tool.

When copying the content of one course to another, old course dates are also copied over. The Manage Dates feature enables instructors to offset those old dates to dates relative to the new semester. This feature also eliminates the burden of tweaking delivery and due dates for their learners. For more information on Managing Dates while copying course components click here.
